We started the “Nature for Fun Therapy and Learning” project with an online Partnership Meeting.
The activity will take place in Wicklow, Ireland, on May 2023
The project aims to improve young people’s mental and physical well-being, foster a proper use of technology, and increase their connection with nature and society through creative outdoor nature-based learning activities combined with digital tools. The project is motivated by the increasing social anxiety, unhealthy habits, and dependence on digital media among young people, particularly those facing geographical and socio-economic barriers.
The partners aim to increase their response to these issues by providing opportunities for young people to actively engage in empowering activities, learn from their European peers, and increase their competencies in outdoor learning opportunities.
The project seeks to increase young people’s social inclusion, well-being, personal development skills, and environmental awareness and promote the appropriate use of technology. The concrete objectives of the project include providing outdoor experiential learning activities, enabling behavioural changes, and expanding the partners’ knowledge and capacity to offer more outdoor learning activities.
