PowerWorms Participants Visit SORTAŞ Vermicompost Facility in Sivas, Türkiye

On the second day of the PowerWorms Project in Malatya, participants visited the SORTAŞ vermicompost facility in Sivas. Established in collaboration with Cumhuriyet University and local authorities, SORTAŞ aims to reduce the negative impacts of chemical fertilizers in Turkish agriculture. The facility produces high-quality worm compost using globally recognized methods, setting a standard for vermicomposting. The visit provided participants with practical insights into large-scale vermicomposting and its benefits for sustainable agriculture.
