“The Exodus for Peace and Human Rights” Project’s Youth Exchange Was Held in San Giorgio Del Sannio and Fragneto Monforte, Italy, on 04 – 15 October 2024

The activity brought together 40 young participants and 8 group leaders from Italy, Türkiye, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and Ukraine. The exchange aimed to foster cross-cultural understanding and social inclusion by focusing on themes such as creativity, arts, human rights, and combating racism and discrimination.

Through a series of non-formal education activities, art workshops, and community-based events, the participants engaged in team-building, human rights discussions, and creative performances. The group also contributed to the local Balloon Gathering Festival, performing music and dance and running social inclusion campaigns for migrants, refugees, and ethnic minorities. The program emphasized experiential learning, with activities designed to stimulate emotional, physical, and cognitive engagement, thus promoting a deeper understanding of their respective countries’ migration issues.

The exchange’s success was attributed to the inclusive participation of young immigrants, ethnic minorities, and second-generation youth, reflecting the project’s commitment to diversity and solidarity. The outcomes of the exchange are expected to have a lasting impact on the participants as they carry forward the values of human rights, inclusion, and brotherhood in their future endeavours.
