Connecting Girls to STEM Project Empowers Female Students Across Europe
Female high school students from four European countries recently embarked on an enriching journey of discovery and empowerment through the Connecting Girls to STEM project. The third mobility, hosted in Gran Canary, Spain, provided a dynamic platform for 20 participants from the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and Turkey to delve deep into science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Facilitated by the Instituto De Ensenanza Secundaria Santa Lucia, the program unfolded from May 19th to 25th, 2024, offering information sessions, workshops, study visits, and cultural tours.
Throughout the mobility, the participants engaged in a vibrant exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experiences, fostering cross-cultural understanding and collaboration. From exploring cutting-edge technologies to engaging in hands-on experiments, the program ignited a passion for STEM disciplines while equipping these young women with the skills and confidence to pursue their ambitions in these fields.
