National Volunteering Committee Enhances Collaboration and Efficiency in Recent General Assembly
On April 24, 2024, the National Volunteering Committee in Turkiye convened for its General Assembly Meeting, focusing on a structured agenda to enhance operational efficiencies and collaboration among its members. The assembly, conducted in a hybrid format, opened with the crucial election of the Executive Board from 14:45 to 15:00. This involved the presentation of the Executive Committee’s Work Procedures Document, the introduction and nomination of candidates, followed by the voting process which innovatively utilized both physical and digital methods, including Mentimeter.
The meeting progressed with the formation of subcommittees between 15:00 and 15:20, aimed at refining and expanding the committee’s working groups and membership protocols. Discussions covered the creation of sub-working group titles, assessment of current membership lists, and a temporary hold on new applications. The assembly also addressed the standardization of routines for General Assembly Meetings and other subgroup activities, ensuring streamlined communication across social media and other reporting platforms. The session concluded with a focus on strengthening inter-organizational collaboration and brainstorming goals and ideas for the upcoming December 5th Program, highlighting the committee’s commitment to fostering a more integrated and proactive volunteering community.
