“Not Just Numbers” Training Course Took Place in Orvelte, the Netherlands on 20-28 August 2017

“Not Just Numbers” Training Course about refugees took place in Orvelte, the Netherlands on 20-28 August 2017.

The training was created to address the need for a youth work response to the refugee and migration crisis in Europe. Throughout the week the youth worker participants developed their youth work competencies with the overall aim of enhancing youth involvement in working towards a positive resolution to the crisis.

Over the course of the week, the group mainly used the International Organization for Migration (IOM)’s Not Just Numbers manual which was developed in collaboration with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNCHR). This was complemented with a range of other non-formal learning methodologies and group activities, designed to get the group thinking about how they could have an impact on young people regarding this topic.

The project was coordinated by EuroMove with ILA partnership.
