Practical Vermicomposting Techniques Explored in Malatya
The final day of the PowerWorms Project’s training activities focused on practical vermicomposting techniques in Yeşilyurt, Malatya. Trainer Ekrem Akbulut led a session titled “Vermicomposting: From Theory to Practice,” demonstrating effective methods for producing high-quality compost. Participants also visited Sütlüce Vermicompost, where the local producer Serkan Doğan showcased his operations. The event concluded with a feedback and evaluation session at lunch with Malatya Municipality Agriculture Department representatives. After lunch, a short project meeting took place about ongoing tasks, training videos, and the learning portal, reinforcing the project’s impact on promoting sustainable agriculture.
