Reflecting on Sustainable Practices
On May 16th, participants of the “VERMICOMPOSTING: The Future of Sustainable Agriculture and Organic Waste Management in Europe” project concluded their journey with a reflective session. They shared personal insights gained from discussions on vermicomposting techniques and immersive study visits to innovative facilities. Honest feedback was exchanged, ensuring future iterations of the project could be even more impactful. Certificates were awarded, acknowledging participants’ commitment to advancing sustainability in agriculture. As the session came to a close, there was a sense of camaraderie and accomplishment, with participants carrying forward a shared commitment to building a more sustainable agriculture.

While the mobility in Amsterdam may have ended, the journey towards sustainable agriculture and organic waste management continues. The project will soon transition to new locales, with upcoming mobilities scheduled in Turkiye and Spain. Armed with insights and connections forged in Amsterdam, participants eagerly anticipate the next phase of the project, where they will further explore and exchange ideas on vermicomposting practices and sustainable solutions.
The Amsterdam mobility may have been a milestone, but it is just one step in a larger mission to foster environmental stewardship and innovation across Europe. With each mobility, the project moves closer to its goal of creating a more sustainable and resilient future for agriculture and waste management.
