Study Visit to Amsterdam Turkish Consulate General
Academics, school principals, teachers, and students recently embarked on an eye-opening study visit to the Amsterdam Turkish Consulate General as part of the “Our Future: Useful Recovery” Erasmus+ project. With the support of the European Commission, ILA, the Dutch partner in the project, organized this enlightening activity.
The study visit, held on May 16, 2023, aimed to deepen cultural understanding and strengthen diplomatic ties. The participants were privileged to meet Mr Mahmut Burak Ersoy, the Consulate General, and Mr Anil Yılmaz, the Amsterdam Education Attaché. Their meeting delved into various topics, including the consulate’s services, the Turkish community in the Netherlands, and the historical backdrop of Turkish-Dutch diplomatic relations.
Through engaging discussions, the group explored the consulate’s various offerings, such as consular affairs and visa services, and gained insight into the support provided to the Turkish community in Amsterdam. The meeting fostered a greater appreciation for cultural diversity and showcased the consulate’s efforts to nurture stronger bonds between Turkey and the Netherlands in educational, cultural, and social realms.
ILA’s pivotal role as the Dutch partner in the “Our Future: Useful Recovery” project ensured the smooth organization of this enlightening study visit. By facilitating connections between academia, educational leaders, and diplomatic representatives, ILA demonstrated its commitment to promoting cross-cultural understanding and international collaboration.
